The (Non) Women Of Star Trek: Specter Sylvia

by Laura Goodwin

She's not real (Bonnie Beecher)

The "Sylvia" we met in Spectre Of The Gun was not a real woman. She was one of many phantasms created by the Melkosians for Kirk and party to interact with. She was infatuated with Ensign Chekov, but only because she thought he was her boyfriend Billy Claiborne.

Chekov enjoyed Sylvia's attentions. She paid no attention to Captain Kirk. Kirk had no female love-interest in this episode, as usual. For the record, neither did Spock. As usual.
