We met Sylvia in Catspaw. She appears to Captain Kirk and his guys as a seductive and domineering young human-type witch, but she's actually a weird little muppet-type alien being. When Kirk finally destroyed "the transmuter", she and her cohort Korob lost all their magical powers, and they appeared at last in their true form.
Sylvia was the ruthless one who enjoyed toying with her human specimens and flexing her magical muscle. Korob was a wimp next to her.
Since she clearly was intrigued by the concept of "sensation", and since he had no other weapons worth mentioning at the time, Kirk tried to seduce her to manipulate her. She telepathically saw through his attempt at deception, and became extremely pissed. She assumed the form of a giant, extremely pissed-off cat, and chased Kirk and Spock around her spooky castle for a while, which actually was rather amusing.
